Day Before Halloween

Today we went into the office to show off Lily's Lady Bug costume.

Lily wasn't too excited about wearing her little getup at first.


But she seemed fine after a while. I think she is the cutest baby lady bug ever!

I think I'm addicted to swapping!

Horray! I have done a couple of swaps now on swap-bot! I was a little disapointed at first, but I got a great package in the mail today!

These last 2 pictures are of the first swap I sent out. It was for a lady in Lincoln, NE who had a little boy and wanted alot of stickers. She rated me with the top rating so I think she enjoyed what I sent!

Some Day....

Last night I had dreams of having a craftroom.

I would love to have my own space to spread out.

Be creative.

And maybe take a nap every once in a while!!

We have a guest coming tomorrow night so I needed to change the sheets on the beds.

Lily thought it was a terrific idea!!

She is such a dare devil!

It was the perfect way to blow off a little steam before naptime!

Applique Class

I took a class last night at Pipers Quilts.

I feel like a kid in a candy store when I'm in there. There are some many beautiful fabrics, yarns and notions.

I really have to pace myself to concentrate on one project at a time!!

What a Great Trip!

Moab was a success! James got his work done Friday afternoon and we were able to visit with our friend Natalie. She has 3 wonderful kids (Simon, Maggie and Emily). Natalie made us homemade chicken noodle soup, with real noodles! When she sends us the recipe I will post it on here.
We went for a great hike on Saturday up "Negro Bill" Canyon.

Lily seemed very happy in her new hiking back pack.

The fall colors were amazing!

Now we are back to "real" life. I am really happy we tagged along with James for that little vacation. We came home to windy, rainy weather that have a hint of winter in the air. I am going to make Minestrone soup today and cuddle up with a good book.

Headed to Moab!

Off we go again...James, Lily and I are headed to Moab tomorrow! James has work to do with the National Parks and Lily and I get to tag along!! Yay!

We haven't been to Moab since January and we are so excited to see Lily run around on the red rocks. We will be visiting our friend Natalie and her 3 kids for dinner and a pumpkin carving party. I will post pictures when we get back into town.

I woke up this morning to James bringing me a cup of coffee in bed (an everyday occurrence). And I remembered how lucky I am to be married to such a sweet man.

When I came upstairs and logged onto my computer these photos were the first thing I wanted to look at.

Swapping!

I joined swap-bot today!! I read about the whole swap (via snail mail) thing on a blog called your wish cake. Check out her flicker swap pictures here. I signed up for 2 swaps today. The first is called "Destash $5 Flat Rate Box/Envelope". In this one I will be paired up with a partner and see what kind of scrapbooking things they might need. I will fill a $5 flat rate box with things from my stash that I don't need or want and they do the same for me. The second swap is basically the same but with my sewing stash.

I hope, hope, hope that my swapping partner will send me some cute fun stuff like "your wish cake" is sending out! I will post pictures of both what I send and what I receive. Wish me luck!

It's been a while!

I know, I know....It's been too long since I have posted on here. But we have been REALLY busy! Lily has grown so much!! She is now 19 Months old, 32 1/2 inches and weighs in at 21.5 Lbs.

Now that I have broken the blog seal I promise I will do more!! Not today though...
