If I had more time to scrapbook I would make one of these!

One of my favorite scrapbook bloggers Ali Edwards has been making a "December Daily's" book every year.

I think that this would make a great coffee table book!

It seems Ms. Ali Edwards has quite the following! There is a Flicker Gallery dedicated just to "December Daily's". Maybe next year I will be able to plan time to make one of these cute little books. If I do I promise I will post about it!

Marble Magnets

This weekend I called my wonderful friend Jessica and asked her how she crafted her marble magnets.

She was able to tell me easy over the phone instructions. I had to go to 2 different craft stores for the supplies (Michaels and Jo Anns).

One December Morning...

Here at the Monsen house we are in full holiday mode. The gifts are wrapped and under the tree. The first Christmas party is tonight. And we still have a week until the big day!!

So this morning life is dedicated to P.J.'s and cartoons in front of the tree! Here are some pictures to prove it!!

Feather Trees

As you probably know, one of my favorite blogs is Chez Larsson. A while ago she posted a picture of her holiday decorations. I totally fell in love with her white feather trees!

Last night as I was browsing Martha Stewarts website I found a tutorial on how to make them!!

I don't think I will have time to do this project anytime soon. But it will definitely be at the top of my list. What projects are you working on this holiday season?

Ikea Shopping Spree!

Today I was lucky enough to have a couple hours to shop at Ikea. My sister-in-law (Emily) and one of my best friends (Anna) came along with me. We had a great time! Here are a few of my purchases:

I definetly had to restrain myself from buying ALL of the holiday heart items. They remind me so much of a typical Scandinavian Christmas. But "everything in moderation" is my motto right now. So maybe next year I will get more.

We're finally home!

After a long trip to Seattle for Thanksgiving we are finally home! We had a great time visiting with friends and family. My Mom has already decorated her house and it really got us into the holiday spirit!

Now that we are back it is time to decorate our own home. I will post pictures in a few days!
