Even Though I'm Sick...

Even though I'm sick....I still want cookies. Here at the Monsen household we have been a bunch of sickos lately. I have a double ear infection. And James and Lily have had the stomach flu. Despite feeling crappy today I started looking through Martha Stewart's "Cookies".

And now I really want cookies...

Really any kind would do!

I Might Have Changed My Mind...

I have been telling my girlfriends that I had no interest in learning the art of crochet. That was until I found a blog by the name of Attic24!!

Drake Deknatel

I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite artisits, Drake Deknatel. He was one of my parents best friends that passed in 2005. He was an amazing painter and also a true friend. I am lucky enough to own a few of his paintings. And some day I hope to aquire more.

Wishing Utah had a Container Store...

There are a few areas in my house that need some major organizing. Specifically my clothes closet and my office/craft room/dining room. I really wish that The Container Store would come to Utah! If they did, here is what I would buy first:

New Year, New Craft!

I learned how to knit last week! James' sister (Ali) showed me how to cast on and do the basic knit stitch. After practicing a bit I headed to his Grandma's (Bonnie) for an extended lesson.

So far I have knit 3 scarves and I am feeling pretty confident. I really want to go to Blazing Needles for thier Saturday morning free classes. 

 

I have been into Blazing Needles once to buy my first yarn and needles. There is a great atmosphere and wonderful people working there to help with all of my questions.

New Etsy Site!

Etsy has opened a new site dedicated just to kids! The new site Etsy Kids is really cute.

The site is constructed from etsy members that sell kids items. When you click on a specific item it takes you to the original etsy site to do your shopping.

We're home!

We are so blessed to have spent a week in Mexico! The weather was wonderful. The food was great. And we loved the resort! We hope that you had a great holiday season!
